The University Interscholastic League has been providing educational extracurricular academic, athletic, and music contests since 1910 and has grown into the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world.

What do Cher, Agatha Christie, Whoopi Goldberg, Benjamin Franklin, Anderson Cooper, and Daniel Radcliffe have in common? They were all diagnosed with learning disabilities. Learning disabilities are a wide variety of learning problems that affect how individuals receive and process information. They can impact students and left unidentified or untreated can negatively impact their career, metal health, and relationships into adulthood.
In this episode I sat down with Professor of Teaching and Learning at Southern Methodist University, Stephanie Al Otaiba. She gave an overview of learning disabilities, how to spot them, and how to get the help your child needs.
